Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is a space to slow down, reconnect, and better understand each other.
Whether you’re navigating communication difficulties, conflict, life transitions, or feeling emotionally distant, therapy offers a supportive and neutral environment to explore what’s happening between you. Together, we work to strengthen your connection, build healthier patterns, and create a relationship that feels more secure, respectful, and fulfilling.

"Thank you, Vaida!! We came in feeling like roommates who argued all the time. Now we actually feel like partners again. We’re communicating better than we have in years, and we finally feel like we’re on the same team."

“We were very close to separating when we started. The work wasn’t easy, but it was worth it cause now we understand each other in ways we never did before, and we’re much more intentional about our relationship.”
N. & C.
Therapy helped us break out of the same patterns we’d been stuck in for years. Our relationship feels lighter and more hopeful now.”
Frequently asked questions
How do we know if couples therapy is right for us?
Couples therapy is helpful not only when a relationship is in crisis, but also when you want to improve communication, rebuild trust, or strengthen your connection. If you’re feeling stuck in the same patterns, having frequent conflict, or feeling distant from each other, therapy can help you understand what’s happening and learn healthier ways to relate.
What kinds of issues do you work with?
I work with couples experiencing communication problems, frequent conflict, emotional distance, trust issues, infidelity recovery, life transitions, stress, intimacy concerns, and premarital preparation. You don’t need to be on the verge of separation to benefit from therapy.
What happens in the first session?
The first session is a chance for me to get to know both of you, understand what brings you to therapy, and learn about your relationship history and goals. We’ll talk about what’s working, what’s not, and what you’d like to change. You’ll also get a sense of how I work and whether this feels like a good fit.
How long does couples therapy take?
This depends on your goals and the issues you’re working on. Some couples come for a few months to work through a specific issue, while others choose to stay longer to build deeper, lasting changes. We’ll regularly check in about your progress and goals.
What if my partner is hesitant about therapy?
This is very common. Many people feel nervous about therapy, worry about being blamed, or aren’t sure what to expect. You can let your partner know that couples therapy isn’t about taking sides or proving who’s right—it’s about improving the relationship and making things feel better for both of you.
You might frame it as a way to learn better communication tools, understand each other more deeply, and reduce stress at home, rather than as a sign that something is “wrong.” Often, just agreeing to try a few sessions is enough for people to see that the process feels supportive, practical, and respectful.
If your partner is still unsure, you’re welcome to reach out to me to talk through concerns and questions before scheduling.
What if we’re considering separation or divorce?
Couples therapy can help you gain clarity, improve communication, and make more thoughtful decisions—whether that’s rebuilding the relationship or separating in a healthier, more respectful way.
What is your approach to couples therapy?
I am trained in the Gottman Method for couples therapy, and I also draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches to tailor the work to each couple’s unique needs. Every relationship is different, so I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes, I offer secure online sessions as well as in-person appointments. Online therapy can be just as effective and is a convenient option for busy schedules or couples who are in another location.
How do we get started?
You can contact me directly to book a session. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have before scheduling your first appointment.
